Born Fri 13th Sep 1991.
She wanted to be an author since she was 6 (or so she’d been told - other options included: doctor, plumber, scientist, accountant and pilot). Her first story (which she does remember) was about a trip to the coast for fish and chips! As you probably guessed, she was born and raised in the UK.
Growing up she enjoyed watching anime, writing fanfiction, and wouldn’t pick up a book unless it had a map of a whole new world in it. Her tastes have since expanded.
Her favourite school subject was physics. Post school she worked with her local council connecting schools and community groups with local artists. She then also studied: film, photography and science, before eventually settling on philosophy at university; but she was never far away from a good book!
Having to pull out of university early due to ill-health (POTS, EDS and autism) she found solace once again in books, and turned her hand to writing poetry. Once her health stabilised, she set out to find out what made all the books she’d escaped into special, and set out to write one of her own.
She lives happily with her husband (Mr. Spence), spending her days reading, bird watching in her garden, and every now and then trying out a new musical instrument (e.g. ocarina or guitalele).
Oh - and she’s still writing. One day at a time.
